A New York judge just tossed out a lawsuit that opposed holding firearm manufacturers accountable to civil lawsuits for crimes that are committed with their products.

The automobile industry should be scared shitless, as well as the tobacco industry.

Basically this judge has set the precedent that anyone who causes harm with their product leads a trial back to the company that manufactured it.

So from General Motors to Tesla, any drunk driving accident should open these companies to a civil lawsuit.

Anyone who gets cancer from smoking, or being exposed to secondhand smoke has a case against the tobacco industry.

Anyone whose home is destroyed by adverse weather, that is claimed to be a result of global warming should be able to sue Oil Companies.

It sounds far fetched, but this is what it looks like when a judge legislates from the bench.
